Licensed imagery was used for the three covers, each image dealing with an uncertainty of the past, present and future. The main image, by Blade Runner artist Syd Mead, is a painting of the Stanford Torus. A space settlement proposed by NASA and the American Society for Engineering Education at Stamford University in 1975.
The digipacks are housed in a diecut box. When packaging we specified that the top digipack should be different for every third of the run, allowing for an uncertainty in the look of the final package, and three different spine variations, 'You Don't Know', 'Know You Don't' and 'Don't You Know'. The digipacks are printed on the uncoated side of the stock, while the box is printed gloss, for a subtle change of texture.
